Aquatis Aquarium-Vivarium in Lausanne opened its doors to the general public on October 21, 2017. The Swiss Aquatis Aquarium-Vivarium is the largest freshwater aquarium in Europe, with an area of 3500 m2. The complex with an inspiring spectacle was designed by the architects of Richter & Dahl Rocha, applying new technologies: 100 thousand aluminum discs on the facade reflect the color of the sky.

Here you can see aquariums and terrariums with thousands of fish and reptiles. The inhabitants of the aquarium can be observed in an interactive environment. The first floor of the complex provides an opportunity to make a virtual trip along the River Rhône, the second - a trip to Africa, South America and other continents. During an interactive walk, you can also look into Asian mangroves, as well as see the Australian River Pioneer, flowing into the Coral Sea in the Great Barrier Reef area.
