The Lufthansa Group introduced a lump-free tariff on long-haul flights. The cheapest fare in North America does not include free baggage transportation.
Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss and Brussels Airlines, members of the group, will introduce a light-duty economy class Light on flights to North America. Air tickets under this tariff will be available for sale in the summer of 2018.
Tariffs Economy Light on flights to America and Europe will include the transportation of only hand luggage weighing up to 8 kg, as well as food, subject to the ban on making changes or the return of purchased tickets.
Passengers will be able to pay extra baggage in addition and for additional money before the start of online registration can be assigned to a certain place in the plane.
Lufthansa Group's leasing rates, represented by Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and Swiss, have been used on medium-haul flights since 2015.
