New Terminal at Amsterdam Airport

In Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in 2023 will open a new terminal for passengers. In terms of comfort, Schiphol is considered one of the best airports in the world. A new functional and comfortable terminal will be adjacent to the departure and arrival halls of Terminal 1.

 

The Dutch company KAAN Architecten is working on the design of the project, embodying in the interior design according to the principle of ecological compatibility and energy saving. The space of the terminal will be organized in such a way that the maximum amount of daylight penetrates inside.

 

Schiphol Airport is approximately 18 km from Amsterdam. Schiphol is the most important air gateway in Europe, along with London Heathrow Airport in the UK, Frankfurt International Airport in Germany and Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport in France. Five runways provide high capacity - about 50 million people a year, there is also a sixth strip for flights of small aircraft. And in connection with a large influx of passengers, the construction of the seventh strip is planned.
